This will be the day film reviews pop up. It will keep me in check to watch and review at least one film a week, maybe two, rarely three. All film reviews can be found under the Archives page.
Tuesday's Trailer Talk
Simple really. Trailers have become miniature movies unto themselves. Fans salivate at hearing a new trailer will be released and flock to the internet to watch it over and over again before the actual film opens. Some trailers are golden, some are garbage, but the art of the trailer is a fascinating subject to discuss. Click here for previous posts of Tuesday's Trailer Talk.
Wednesday's Weekly TV Wrap
I've started watching a lot more t.v. recently. So on Wednesdays I'll review the past week's shows that I watched, from the previous Wednesday to Tuesday. This feature will inevitably change with the seasons, and if I hit a temporary lag in t.v. viewing, I'll replace it with something else until things pick back up. Saturday's Sims Screenshots
This feature brings together my love of blogging and my hardcore addiction to the PC game The Sims 2. Simple really: I recreate a screenshot from a film in the world of the Sims, post it and see which reader can guess it first. MST3K MOTM
On the first of every month, I review an episode from the wonderful cult classic t.v. show Mystery Science Theatre 3000, in which a guy and two robots watch and mock really bad films. All MST3K MOTM reviews can be found here.
The Classics Corner
In order to get better acquainted with films before "my time," I watch and review a classic film (which I consider anything before 1980) once a month around the 15th. The reviews are more a take on what does or doesn't work for my more modern tastes, and I refrain from giving a final rating. All Classics Corner reviews can be found here.
