Money Beets

"First rule in roadside beet sales, put the most attractive beets on top. The ones that make you pull the car over and go, 'Wow...I need this beet right now.' Those are the money beets."

If you're new to Rachel's Reel Reviews, and aren't 100% sure you want to come back, let me offer up these posts for your viewing pleasure. These aren't always the posts that get the most hits in a random Google search or even the ones with the most comments; no, these are my personal favorites, whether they're the ones I'm most proud of or were the most fun to write.

Picture Reviews
Nick & Nora's Infinite Playlist: Stars Michael Cera and Kat Dennings have a pre-filming conversation.
Identity: A strong comparison between the film and a beloved board game is revealed.
The Social Network: I reveal my thoughts on the film, in a form true to Facebook.
Let Me In: Owen, from the film, calls Oskar, from the Swedish original, to discuss this Americanized adaptation.

Written Reviews
The American: A more formal review.
Before Sunrise and Before Sunset: A double feature review.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince: A letter review to the Boy Who Lived on his birthday.
King Kong (1933) vs. King Kong (2005): A comparative review between the remake and the original.

Memes
12 Movie Meme: This was my very first meme on the blog, and it's a list of 12 films I'd play if I had control of a movie theater. Most folks who participated had a running theme, and so did I.
Alphabet Meme: My blogging buddy Dylan came up with this one, which was to list a favorite film with a different letter of the alphabet. Pretty self-explanatory really.
31-Day Movie Meme in One Day: After participating in the 30-Day TV Meme just two months prior, I was too wiped to do another month-long meme, so I decided to take all 31 days of topics and do one mega post for it.

Lists
Shakespeare Films: Parts I and II: In this two-part series, I talk about my favorite films that use Shakespeare's words but in a more updated setting and modern films that tell his stories, but not using his scripts.
Vampires: The Good, the Bad & the Ugly: In this three-part series, I take a look at film vampers that fit the specified categories.
Vampires vs. Zombies: Here I list Three Reasons I'd Rather Be in a Vampire Movie plus Three Reasons I'd Rather Be in a Zombie Movie.
What to Do When You're Not Cutting...: For my Halloween post in 2010, my Saturday's Sims Screenshots feature spilled over into this post which highlights some hobbies of our favorite film serial killers.
I Guess I Have a Type: I decided to analyze my three favorite films and find three things they have in common.
