I didn't mean serious, as in drama, but what I meant was that at times, the movie almost seemed to be more of a straight comedy rather than the spoof/slap-stick that was the overall feel of the film. There weren't many instances, but I did notice one or two, and this may have been the whole two times I laughed.

I admit I've never liked slap-stick or spoof films, including Mel Brooks films. (Waits for the gasping and cursing to stop.) The only one that comes to mind is Spaceballs for some strange reason. I could watch that a million times. As for spoof, I like the first Austin Powers, but that's about it.

I guess I prefer genuine comedy with relatable characters rather than the obvious humor a third grader could easily understand and laugh at. He doesn't say a word!

I love Hudson Hawk - how dare you compare it to garbage like Disaster Movie, even if it's not up your alley. Unimaginative crap like that has nothing on the Hawk, which despite its lovable badness, is clever and original, to say the least. I put it in the same category as Last Action Hero, a horribly misunderstood film that isn't nearly as good as it should have been, but also not nearly as bad as anyone makes it out to be. Both lie in my guilty pleasure Hall of Fame, too.

And Rachel, please list one instance where Hudson Hawk played it serious. That's my biggest gripe from your review.

I have movies like that too, Jess.
