So Fletch at Blog Cabins started The Alphabet Meme, and ever so graciously tagged me to participate. So the rules are pretty simple: List every letter of the alphabet with one favorite film starting with the corresponding letter. Simple, but difficult. For all of the actual rules, see Fletch's post. But first, check out my picks with these pics:

"F" was by far my toughest choice. Though I always rank Fight Club as my #2 or #3 favorite film (it's interchangeable with Pulp Fiction depending on my mood), I really wanted to show The Fountain (my #4) some love. "Y" and "Z" nearly came up dry. I picked Young Guns because I adored that movie as a kid (I had like 3 posters in my bedroom from that movie alone), and though I haven't seen it in years, I thought it deserved props for nostalgia's sake. Zodiac I've seen once, when it was in the theater, and though I liked it, I have yet to see it again or buy it. It was kind of a throw away letter. No offense to David Fincher.
And now I must tag 5 others to play in our little reindeer games:
Blake at Bitchin' Film Reviews
Ms. Go at D.C. Girl at the Movies
Pat at Doodad Kind of Town
Jess at Insight into Entertainment
Norma Desmond at The Flick Chick
If anyone else wants to play, feel free to join in all the fun. Just link back to Fletch so he can do his Leonardo DiCaprio "King of the World" yell.

7 pieces of fan mail:
Great way to do this Rachel! It was really cool to look at those movies. Definitely some of my favorites in there. Mine's up to peruse now too.
I'm honestly surprised by some of your choices, but you certainly did a great job with this!
Agreed - nice way to mix up the format and make yours stand out. I wish I had thought of that (though I might've been too lazy to execute it, anyhow).
I think I love every movie on here that I've seen...
I mean, seriously, you chose Napoleon Dynamite over No Country for Old Men (or Newsies)?
Jess: Thanks! It turned out to be more work than I bargained for, but worth it.
Fletch: Thanks for coming up with the fun idea. I almost gave up on the picture format. I literally got halfway through the alphabet and had half the picture done, when I got the blue screen of death. It was already after 11:30 at night and I needed sleep, but started from square one and finished. By the time I was done, I had to triple check to make sure I knew my alphabet!
Mom: I did forget about Newsies, but I've only seen No Country once. As wonderful as it is, and I admit I need to watch it again, I didn't feel right putting it on there with only one viewing. Zodiac is the only film on this list I've seen once and I stated my reasons for doing that.
Rachel-
I got tagged by Daniel at Getafilm, too. My list is up now.
You have a great list. I'm so glad to see you picked "American Beauty" for your "A"-choice. I love that movie, and it seems to me that very few other people do.
Pat, I know what you mean about American Beauty. It seems everyone flipped over when it came out, and now I hardly ever hear it mentioned anymore. It was actually on t.v. yesterday, and I watched part of it. I need to dust off my dvd and watch it in its entirety again. It's been too long.
